Lotus Racing is close to signing a sponsorship deal with Petrobas, according to Brazillian media reports.
There were also reports that the deal between Lotus Racing and the semi-public Brazillian oil company has been completed.
O Globo mentioned that the Petrobas branding will be added to the T127 car starting with the Spanish GP in May.
Malaysia’s Lotus Racing enjoyed a solid start to the 2010 season when drivers Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen completed the race in Bahrain.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez will miss the Spanish side’s Champions League match against Stuttgart later on Wednesday with a right leg muscle injury, the club said.
The 30-year-old Spain international picked up the injury during training on Tuesday and he will be out of action for “around 15 days”, it said in a statement.
The defending European champions’ Mali midfielder Seydou Keita passed a late fitness test and will be available for the match, the club added.
Barcelona drew 1-1 against Stuttgart in their first leg in Germany and due to the away goal advantage need only a 0-0 draw on Wednesday to move into the quarter-finals.

Iain Dowie was Wednesday appointed as the new manager of Hull, 48 hours after Phil Brown paid the price for a run of four defeats which has left the club second from bottom of the Premier League.
Former Oldham, Crystal Palace and Charlton boss Dowie was unveiled as the new manager at a press conference at the KC Stadium, and voiced confidence that he could transform the club’s fortunes.
Dowie, who has been handed the job only until the end of the season, will have nine matches to save Hull, who are currently three points from safety, from relegation, a fate which would leave the club facing serious financial difficulties.
“It’s a city that has a ferocious fan base, the infrastructure is here,” Dowie said. “It’s an area that can more than justify having a Premier League team.

Jose Mourinho enjoyed a triumphant return to Stamford Bridge with Inter Milan who secured a 1-0 win at his former side Chelsea on Tuesday that sent the Italians into the Champions League quarter-finals.
Samuel Eto’o hit a 78th minute winner for Inter, who had fallen at the first knockout stage for the last three seasons. The Serie A side went through 3-1 on aggregate.
“We were the best team by far. To win here was almost a perfect performance not just by the team but by the individual players,” Mourinho, who left the London club nearly three years ago, told Sky Sports.
